Why do I get an Error page after clicking on the link from Password Reset/Account Confirmation Email?

There are a few instances where REFSS / IGL support will send emails to you that contain links to click:

  • Password Reset Email
  • Account Confirmation Email

After clicking the link in the email, you may be taken to an Internet page showing an ugly error, similar to this:

 

The reason for this error is that the link in the email is valid for only 24 hours.  If clicked after this time period, the error page above will be seen.

If you are getting this error page, there are a few things you can do to resend the email with a fresh, valid link:

Password Reset Email

 

  • Visit the Forgot Password page again, enter your details again and re-request a password reset
  • Check your emails (before the 24 hour expiry) and click the link to complete the process

Account Confirmation Email

  • Visit the REFSS Setup login page and try logging in using your email and password
  • A message will be shown, warning that the account is yet to be activated.  Click the hyperlinked word "HERE" and the email will be resent to you
  • Check your emails (before the 24 hour expiry) and click the link to complete the process
