Device doesn't turn on at all

This is usually caused by the device being left on all night and the battery being completely exhausted.  In this case, the device will not respond when turned on - it needs at least a few percent battery life to start up.

First suggestion:

  1. Charge the device with the Lenovo charger and USB cord that came with the device.
  2. Make sure the power is switched on at the power point - if connected properly, the device's screen will show a battery icon, with 0%.
  3. Leave it charging for at least an hour.
  4. After an hour or so, try turning on the device by holding the power button for a few seconds, until the "Lenovo" logo appears on screen.

Second suggestion:

  1. Make sure the tablet is plugged in and charging
  2. Hold the power button for 20 seconds
  3. Wait 5 seconds
  4. Then hold the power button until the "Lenovo" logo appears on screen.

If nothing happens, try this third suggestion:

  1. Plug in the power
  2. Using a straightened paper clip, insert it into the hole on the bottom edge of the tablet to the left of the docking port until you feel it click
  3. Hold for 20 seconds
  4. Remove paper clip
  5. Unplug power cable
  6. Insert paper clip again and hold for 20 seconds
  7. Plug power back in
  8. Then hold the power button until the "Lenovo" logo appears on screen.
